China Minmetals Corporation 2024-07-04

On the morning of June 28, 2024, Chen Dexin, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, visited China ENFI Engineering Corporation ("China ENFI" for short), a primary-level Party-building outreach office. He gave a lecture on Party discipline education titled "Embracing Self-awareness, Self-discipline and Self-examination and Strengthening Faith, Integrity and Accountability to Provide Discipline Guarantee for Fostering New Quality Productive Force in Metals and Minerals" to the Enterprise Management Division Party Branch of China ENFI, both in person and via video.

Chen Dexin noted that discipline is the lifeline of the Party and a crucial guarantee for the smooth advancement of all undertakings. Chen said that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions had strategic insight and were of profound meaning. He also noted that these instructions integrated historical and current realities, linked Party governance with national governance, and combined theory with practice, profoundly elucidating the position, role, content, and goal of Party discipline construction. Therefore, Party members and cadres should deeply study, thoroughly comprehend, and fully implement these principles.

Chen emphasized that the discipline and regulations of the Party were the behavioral standards that Party members in Party organizations at all levels must adhere to. Hence, all primary-level Party organizations must keep in mind the importance of strictness in the full and rigorous governance over the Party. They should carry out intensive disciplinary education effectively, and guide Party members and cadres to deeply study documents such as the Regulations on CPC Disciplinary Action and the Regulation on Disciplinary Actions Against the Managerial Professionals of State-owned Enterprises. All these efforts are aimed to help make adherence to strict discipline a daily habit and conscious practice for Party members and cadres, thereby continuously advancing the integration of full and strict Party governance with modern corporate governance.

As said by Chen, tightening Party discipline requires fully leveraging the leading role of the Party committee to ensure the sound development of the enterprise. It also involves using the exemplary role of Party members and cadres to inspire entrepreneurial vigor. Furthermore, it entails improving academic atmosphere and Party conduct to foster an atmosphere of adherence to discipline that supports the high-quality development of scientific research work. All Party members and cadres must integrate discipline into their central and daily work, creating an upright and clean politics and innovation environment. They must follow a right direction and develop motivational power and synergy for their work, so as to ensure the enterprise's sustained and healthy growth along the right path, and contribute to furthering China Minmetals' journey towards becoming a world-class metals and minerals group.

Chen and his delegation also visited the company's exhibition hall and China Mining Innovation Center, and had in-depth discussions with Academician Yu Runcang about smart mine construction. They also paid a visit to Li Yuwei, a friend they want to invite for joining the united front, and warmly interacted with Party members and cadres from the second Party branch of the Mining Department of China ENFI.

Chen was accompanied by the heads of the Party Group Office and Party and Mass Work Department of China Minmetals, along with relevant leaders from MCC during the visit.
