China Minmetals Holds a Party Discipline and Anti-Corruption Awareness Education Conference

China Minmetals Corporation 2024-06-28

On June 26, 2024, China Minmetals held a conference on Party discipline and anti-corruption awareness education to deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourses on comprehensively strengthening the Party discipline. The conference emphasized learning from cases to promote virtues, discipline, laws, and responsibilities, and guiding Party members and cadres to study, understand, uphold, and enforce discipline, thereby making further efforts to exercise full and rigorous governance over the Party. Weng Zuliang, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, presided over this conference and delivered a speech. Other participants included Chen Dexin, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary, Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Party Group Secretary and Board Member of China Minmetals, along with other members of the Party Group. Zhang Zhenmin, Party Group Member and Chief of Discipline Inspection Committee, reported on typical disciplinary cases and disciplinary inspection states at China Minmetals. Liu Zhaodong from the Party Conduct and Integrity Office of the Bureau of Party Building of SASAC attended the conference and provided guidance.

Weng Zuliang pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourses on comprehensively strengthening the Party discipline were crucial components of his important thoughts on Party building and the Party's self-revolution, which held significant importance for strengthening the Party discipline and making further efforts to exercise full and rigorous governance over the Party. Therefore, we must deeply study and comprehend General Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks, and become more purposeful in closely following the CPC Central Committee in politics, thinking, and action consciousness. We must refine and enhance the "Four Responsibilities Synergy" mechanism (emphasizing synergy in thinking, policy orientation, objectives, and measures), and effectively implement full and rigorous governance over the Party. Moreover, we must continue to take simultaneous, coordinated, and comprehensive steps to ensure that officials do not have the audacity, opportunity, or desire to become corrupt, ensuring that the work of Party governance is specific and thorough in every field, at every level, and in every respect.

Weng also emphasized that the full and rigorous governance over the Party was an ongoing journey, and that the Party's self-revolution was also a continuous process. We must always learn lessons from the corruption cases and stay alert. We must hold discipline in awe in our daily life and examine ourselves against the cases to see that our political awareness is right, that we fulfill our duties adequately, that our work style is rigorous, and that we cross the line. We must realize that it is our responsibility to do our best to fulfill our duties and to be proactive in our work. We must resolutely fulfill our political responsibilities in governing the Party. In terms of the Party discipline education program, we should thoroughly study and implement the Regulation on Disciplinary Actions Against the Managerial Professionals of State-owned Enterprises. In addition, we must uphold a culture of strict discipline, enforce rigorous measures, and create a climate of accountability to ensure that all rules and regulations become "live high-voltage wires" that we dare not to cross. At last, we must maintain strict self-discipline, continue to improve our political awareness, and enhance our Party consciousness. We must bolster our resistance to corruption and moral decline, preserving our integrity. By achieving tangible results in strengthening discipline, we will provide strong assurance for becoming a world-class enterprise.
