China Minmetals Holds a Meeting with CRHC to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation

On October 9, 2024, China Minmetals held a meeting with China Reform Holdings Corporation Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CRHC") to exchange views on further strengthening their cooperation. Chen Dexin, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, conducted in-depth talks with Xu Siwei, Chairman and Party Committee Secretary of CRHC, and Mo Dewang, President and Deputy Party Committee Secretary of CRHC.
Chen Dexin extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Xu Siwei and Mo Dewang, and expressed his gratitude to CRHC for its long-term strong support to China Minmetals. He also briefly introduced the development history and basic status of China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals had always followed the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and firmly undertaken its original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry". It has focused on playing the three roles of technological innovation, industrial control and safety support. In addition, it has taken the lead in opening up a whole industry chain channel from resource acquisition to exploration & survey, design & construction, mining & beneficiation, smelting & processing, and to trade logistics. It has also accelerated its efforts in building a world-class powerhouse with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry. Chen highlighted the importance of strategic cooperation with CRHC and expressed a desire to further strengthen communication and coordination between the two sides. By leveraging each other's strengths and deepening comprehensive collaboration, Chen hoped that the two sides could establish specific long-term cooperative projects and jointly create a new model of cooperation between central SOEs.
Xu Siwei expressed his gratitude to China Minmetals for its support to CRHC and reviewed the history of their cooperation. He also provided a brief introduction to CRHC. Xu said that CRHC, with a focus on its role as a state-owned capital management company, had developed a deep understanding of operational principles, continuously refined its operational model, and formed the "7+3+1" business framework. Xu stressed CRHC's role of providing services and support for the technological innovation and the stable development of industrial chains of central SOEs. Besides, he noted that China Minmetals and CRHC shared a strong foundation and broad prospects for cooperation. He hoped that the two sides would further strengthen communication, expand cooperation areas, and enrich cooperation models to achieve mutually beneficial development. He reiterated CRHC's commitment to providing high-quality services to support China Minmetals' high-quality development.
Mo Dewang added that CRHC and China Minmetals had developed a strong partnership during long-term cooperation. He also hoped that the two sides would enhance their mutual understanding, strengthen coordination, and further refine and implement cooperative projects to achieve greater success in their partnership.
This meeting was attended by external directors of China Minmetals including Gao Lieyang and Hou Xiao, the leadership team members of China Minmetals including Zhu Kebing and Tian Wei, and the leadership team members of CRHC including Yang Ning and Liu Xueshi. Other participants included relevant personnel from CRHC, and the relevant leaders from China Minmetals' head offices and directly-managed enterprises.
