Chen Dexin extended a warm welcome to Zhou Shaobing and his delegation, and expressed his gratitude to Jiangxi Copper for its long-term trust and support to China Minmetals. He also briefly introduced the development history and basic status of China Minmetals. Chen said that China Minmetals had always followed the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, firmly undertaken its original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry", and formed a business system mainly composed of metals & minerals, metallurgical construction, trade & logistics, and finance & real estate. It has focused on playing the three roles of technological innovation, industrial control and safety support, continuously enhanced its core functions and improved its core competitiveness for the purpose of accelerating the building of a world-class powerhouse with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry. China Minmetals attaches great importance to the strategic cooperation with Jiangxi Copper. Chen hoped that both sides would further strengthen communication and exchanges on the basis of long-term friendly cooperation, deepen consensus on cooperation, and expand the fields of cooperation with the level of cooperation upgraded. He also hoped that they could strengthen cooperation in mineral resource exploitation, trade & logistics, technical services and other aspects and give full play to their respective advantages, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly contribute to supply and security guarantee of national metal resources. 

Zhou Shaobing expressed his gratitude to China Minmetals for its long-term strong support to Jiangxi Copper, reviewed the history of friendly cooperation between the two sides, and briefly introduced the development status of Jiangxi Copper. Zhou Shaobing noted that Jiangxi Copper, as a large domestic producer of cathode copper and a supplier of copper products with great varieties, had always been upholding the development concept of "Thinking Today for a Prosperous Future", continuously tapping the value of resources, and promoting win-win cooperation with stakeholders. China Minmetals is a highly valued strategic partner of Jiangxi Copper, and the two sides have achieved remarkable results and established a profound friendship through their previous cooperation. Zhou hoped that both sides could further strengthen communication and coordination, seize opportunities in the industry, and deepen all-round cooperation. He also hoped that they could promote the implementation of more cooperation projects in a pragmatic way, and ultimately achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development. 

Both sides also had an in-depth discussion on issues of common concern.
