On the afternoon of November 8, 2024, Chen Dexin, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, met with Liu Yu, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of China Resources Recycling Group Co., Ltd. ("CRRG" for short). The two sides had in-depth exchanges on further strengthening cooperation.

Chen Dexin extended a warm welcome to Liu Yu and his delegation and briefly introduced the development history and basic status of China Minmetals. Chen noted that China Minmetals had always followed the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, kept in mind the country's most fundamental interests, and firmly undertaken its original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry". It has taken the lead in opening up a whole industry chain channel from resource acquisition to exploration & survey, design & construction, mining & beneficiation, smelting & processing, and to trade logistics, forming an integrated advantage of the whole industry chain. At present, it is earnestly studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, firmly grasping the primary task of high-quality development, and persisting in the use of technological innovation to lead industrial innovation. Besides, it is continuously enhancing its core functions, improving its core competitiveness, and focusing on playing the "three roles" of central state-owned enterprises ("central SOEs") in technological innovation, industrial control and safety support. It has always stayed committed to building a world-class powerhouse with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry, and resolutely shouldered the responsibilities and missions entrusted by the CPC Central Committee. It has earnestly studied and implemented the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the establishment of CRRG. As for specific actions, it will actively strengthen communication and cooperation with CRRG in aspects of strategic planning and concrete implementation, and vigorously strengthen the construction of a green and low-carbon circular economic development system. It will also give full play to the complementary advantages in their respective professional fields and promote the implementation of various tasks to achieve win-win development.

Liu Yu expressed his gratitude to China Minmetals for its concern and support for CRRG. He said that in accordance with the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, CRRG would undertake the important task of building a "resource recycling platform" and work to become an integrated solution provider that covers multiple key recycling categories of renewable resources, and integrates warehousing, processing, distribution, trade in, standard formulation and output as a whole. As a shareholder and important partner of CRRG, China Minmetals has provided strong support and assistance for CRRG. Under this background, Liu hoped that both sides could further strengthen communication and coordination, continuously adopt innovative cooperation models and expand the areas of cooperation to serve the national strategy, and promote high-quality development of enterprises and industries.

The meeting was attended by Zhu Kebing, Party Group Member and Senior Vice President of China Minmetals, Chen Yunlong and Wen Feng, both acting as Members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Managers of CRRG, and other participants included relevant leaders of China Minmetals' head offices.
