On December 27, 2024, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, met with Wang Bing, Vice Governor of Gansu Province, and his delegation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on further deepening cooperation. Zhu Kebing, Party Group Member and Senior Vice President of China Minmetals, attended the meeting. 

Chen Dexin extended a warm welcome to Wang Bing and his delegation, and expressed his gratitude to the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Gansu Province for their long-term concern and support for the development of China Minmetals. Later, he briefly introduced the overall status of China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals had always followed the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and kept in mind and put into practice its original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry". It was noted that it had accelerated the transformation and upgrading of the business system composed of metals & minerals, metallurgical construction, trade & logistics, and finance & real estate, and made its own contribution to the supply and security of national metal and mineral resources. At present, it is earnestly implementing the guiding principles of Central Economic Work Conference and the Meeting of Central SOE Leaders, carefully arranging the key tasks for 2025, and conducting in-depth research on the "15th Five-Year Plan". It is firmly grasping the primary task of high-quality development, continuously enhancing its core functions and constantly improving its core competitiveness. In addition, it is giving full play to the three roles of central SOEs in "technological innovation, industrial control and safety support". Gansu Province boasts abundant mineral resources, a complete industrial system, a solid transportation infrastructure and a superior business environment. Under this backdrop, China Minmetals will further strengthen strategic coordination and cooperation with the People's Government of Gansu Province on the basis of previous cooperation between the central state-owned enterprise and the local government. The company will continue to expand its layout, increase its investment in Gansu and actively expand the fields of cooperation, for the purpose of mutually beneficial and win-win development. 

Wang Bing expressed his gratitude to China Minmetals for its long-term contribution to the economic and social development of Gansu Province, and showed admiration for the development course and great achievements of China Minmetals. He noted that Gansu Province was deeply studying, publicizing and implementing guiding principles contained in the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Gansu, accelerating the building of a happy, beautiful and new Gansu, and creating a new situation of enriching the people and revitalizing Gansu Province. Since China Minmetals is an important force driving the high-quality development of Gansu Province, he hoped that both sides could further strengthen cooperation on the basis of existing friendly cooperation, and achieve more fruitful results. He said that the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Gansu Province would, as always, provide high-quality services for local enterprises and projects of China Minmetals. 

Before the meeting, both sides watched a promotional video about Gansu Province's efforts in building a hub and new high ground in the western corridor. 

Participants also included the relevant officials from Gansu Province, and leaders of China Minmetals' head offices and directly-managed enterprises.
