With 2024 drawing to a close, the successful convening of China Minmetals' 2025 Annual Working Conference marks the conclusion of a year we navigated together with dedication: achieving "a strong start in Q1, surpassing mid-year targets in Q2, accelerating progress in Q3, and ending the year with robust results in Q4." 

Loyalty, responsibility, diligence, efficiency, unity, pragmatism, resilience, and dedication - these virtues resonated throughout 2024. Every upward step we took was soaked with effort and lit by determination. This year was a pivotal chapter in China Minmetals' history and a testament to the extraordinary achievements made possible by the relentless efforts of every Minmetals member. We have showcased the full advantages of our whole industry chain, revitalized growth across diverse sectors, and demonstrated our role as a cornerstone and pillar of the economy. Together, we championed high-quality development for China's economy with steadfast resolve and proactive contributions. 

In 2024, we stayed true to our mission with bold determination. We earnestly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. At this critical juncture for building a strong country and realizing national rejuvenation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization, we remained guided by visionary principles. United under the original mission of "serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry", we seized historical opportunities, adhered to stability-driven progress, and embraced innovation. Through robust education on Party discipline, effective Party building efforts, integrated implementation of inspection rectifications, and decisive reform actions, we strengthened our core capabilities and enhanced competitiveness. As a result, we contributed to fulfilling the "three roles" of central state-owned enterprises ("central SOEs") in technological innovation, industrial control and safety support. 

In 2024, we laid a solid foundation through steady strides. Amid internal and external challenges and pressures, we upheld the concept that "high-quality development is fundamental, and high-impact projects are critical". By reinforcing daily operational statistics monitoring, monthly economic operation oversight, and quarterly performance benchmarking, we ensured strong execution and timely progress. As a result, a number of high-profile projects yielded preliminary results. Moreover, through coordinated efforts across resource acquisition, production, supply & marketing, and reserves in the metals and minerals sector, we accelerated the construction of a modern industrial system grounded in the real economy. In fields of engineering and construction, we intensified transformation and upgrading, strengthened marketing strategies and foundational management, and adjusted operations dynamically to maximize our unique advantages. Emerging industries were cultivated and expanded, while traditional industries were revitalized with a focus on advancing into high-value-added sectors aligned with our primary responsibilities and key business. Additionally, we adhered to a "parallel and integrated development" mode, ensuring compliance operations, precise risk management, work safety and environmental protection. This synergy between high-quality development and high-level safety fostered a virtuous cycle, achieving meaningful qualitative improvements alongside reasonable quantitative growth. 

In 2024, fueled by innovation, we forged ahead with unwavering commitment and perseverance. As shown by history and reality, science and technology are engines of progress, and innovation is the key to the future. In 2024, we celebrated groundbreaking achievements such as the world's first 6,000-meter-class intelligent electric-driven deep-sea heavy-duty mining vehicle platform, the first National Technology Innovation Center in the mineral resources sector, and ultra-high-purity graphite products with over 99.99995% purity. These milestones underscore our strides in the use of technological innovation to lead industrial innovation, addressing technological bottlenecks and accelerating the transformation of scientific achievements into industrial applications. 

In 2024, we promoted harmony and coexistence on the global stage. Guided by the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, we advanced our high-quality business operations steadily and systematically across more than 60 countries and regions. Simultaneously, we implemented livelihood improvement projects that supported local economic growth and enhanced community well-being. Bridging distances and cultures, we upheld universal values, expanded common interests, and contributed to the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, further strengthening China Minmetals' global reputation. 

In 2024, we remained people-centered and built an enterprise of value and dignity. "Making the enterprise valuable and employees respected" is not just a goal but a commitment. Knowing that countless individuals united can form a powerful force, and that small steps taken together can forge a wide path, we cared deeply about the growth and contributions of every employee. Regardless of where we are from or when we met, we share the warm and empowering culture of "One Minmetals Family", striving side by side toward the stars of a great new era. 

Our actions give meaning to time, and our deeds shape the world around us. As we reflect on the challenges and milestones of our journey - crossing treacherous waters, climbing steep slopes, and overcoming formidable barriers, we understand that no fruit of success comes easily. Every triumph stems from the collective strength of China Minmetals employees, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and supported by the strategic deployment of the CPC Committee of SASAC and the Party Group of China Minmetals. With the care and support of society at large, we have courageously shouldered the responsibilities of a central SOE, united our efforts, and tackled challenges with determination!

As the dawn of 2025 approaches, we turn the page to a new chapter in history. The year 2025 marks a critical juncture: the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the beginning of the 15th. It is also a pivotal period for us to deepen reforms, consolidate progress, improve quality & efficiency, advance transformation & upgrades, and seize opportunities from the overlapping combination of policies. This year, we will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of China Minmetals' founding. 

Through trials and triumphs, we have journeyed together in high spirits. Though challenges and difficulties lie ahead, the rallying call of this annual working conference inspires us to unite our thoughts and efforts with even greater determination. Our steps forward will be firmer and more resolute than ever. With confidence and strength, we have created a glorious history together, and we will surely join hands to forge an even brighter future.
