On April 27, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited Minmetals Assets Management Co., Ltd (Minmetals Assets) to conduct research and provide guidance, while extending his regards to the company’s employees.
Chen Dexin gained a detailed understanding of the progress in the development of Minmetals Assets’ digital asset management and operation platform, listened to a comprehensive work report, and engaged in in-depth discussions with the team regarding the company’s future mission, vision, functional positioning, and business strategy. He encouraged Minmetals Assets to remain steadfast in its founding purpose, focus on core responsibilities, and excel in inheritance, advancement, and innovation, thereby playing an even greater role in China Minmetals’ pursuit of becoming a globally competitive world-class metal and mineral enterprise group.
Chen Dexin emphasized the need to resolutely strengthen Party building, thoroughly study and implement the General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important directives on the reform, development, and Party building of state-owned enterprises, and fully adhere to two unswerving commitments. He called for transforming Party organization from mere presence to tangible effectiveness, aligning Party building with central tasks, and leveraging Party building to drive growth. Through the “Management Standardization Year” initiative, he urged the establishment of a modern governance system characterized by legally defined responsibilities, compliance-driven procedures, and lawful operations.
Focusing on core responsibilities and core competitiveness, he stressed the importance of enhancing core functions and core competitiveness from the following aspects:1)enhancing management standards by refining systems, building platforms, streamlining processes, setting benchmarks, and strengthening coordination; 2)accelerating the development of a distinctive Minmetals asset management system, including platforms for idle asset transactions and inefficient equity disposal, built upon the digital asset management framework. This aims to create an intelligent, advisory-driven asset management company and position it as a high-value, green service provider supporting China Minmetals’ strategic goals; 3)balancing development and safety by improving the four mechanisms for risk prevention, conducting thorough risk inspections, and enhancing safety training to bolster employee awareness. Additionally, he demanded rigorous implementation of the Central Committee’s Eight Provisions through integrated efforts of studying, inspecting and reforming to foster a culture of integrity and unity. He underscored the importance of safeguarding China Minmetals’ reputation and brand by nurturing a development environment rooted in integrity, positivity, harmony, and stability.
Heads of relevant departments from the headquarters of China Minmetals participated in the research.
