Recently, the Red Cross Society of China awarded the China Red Cross Fraternity Medal to China Minmetals in recognition of its outstanding contributions in the "1.22 landslide" in Zhenxiong County, during which the company actively fulfilled its social responsibilities and helped the people in disaster-stricken areas to tide over difficulties and rebuild their homes.

On January 22, 2024, a landslide struck Liangshui Village, Tangfang Town, Zhenxiong County, Yunnan Province. After the disaster, the Party Group of China Minmetals promptly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions, activated the emergency alert system, and donated 6 million yuan to support emergency rescue efforts and post-disaster reconstruction in Zhenxiong County. Under the guidance of the Party Group, MCC Tiangong Group Corporation Limited deployed 5 excavators and 23rd Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd. assigned ten volunteers to actively participate in the rescue efforts. Food, drinking water, and other essential supplies were procured to aid the affected areas at the same time. Minmetals Property was assigned to provide logistical support and property services for the Disaster Resettlement Project. Tang Xiwen, temporary deputy county chief dispatched to be stationed in Zhenxiong County rushed to the scene and participated in rescue efforts as a member of the first-line rescue headquarters. Cheng Kaiqiang, first secretary dispatched to be stationed in Jinzhong Community, Zhenxiong County,engaged in rescue efforts quickly and walked 5 kilometers in the rain and snow to transport daily necessities to the scene.

The Red Cross Society of China Fraternity Medal, signed and presented by He Wei, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress and President of the Red Cross Society of China, is one of the most distinguished humanitarian awards in China.
