Zhu Kebing Meets with Liu Guiqing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Telecom

On July 30, Zhu Kebing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, met with the visiting delegation led by Liu Guiqing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Telecom. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on further deepening their cooperation.

Zhu Kebing extended a warm welcome to Liu Guiqing and his delegation and briefly introduced the history and business operations of China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals, founded in 1950, has transformed from a foreign trade enterprise initially engaged in the import and export of metal and mineral products and hardware into a globally influential metals and minerals enterprise group. Its business portfolio now covers multiple sectors, including metals & minerals, metallurgical construction, high-tech industry, trade & logistics, and finance & real estate. Over the years, China Minmetals and China Telecom have carried out pragmatic and effective cooperation in business areas such as digitalization and mineral resource exploration. He expressed his hope that the two sides would strengthen strategic collaboration in areas like basic telecommunications, artificial intelligence, smart mines, and cybersecurity, to jointly serve the country’s overall development and embark on a new journey of high-quality development together.

Liu Guiqing expressed his gratitude for the long-term trust and support from China Minmetals and introduced the overall situation and achievements of China Telecom in developing new quality productive forces. He said that China Telecom will fully leverage its technological advantages in networks, cloud and cloud-network integration, artificial intelligence, and quantum security. It will actively align with the development needs of China Minmetals in areas such as quantum prospecting, industrial models, data transmission, and the “AI+” special initiative, providing professional services for China Minmetals’ digital transformation. He looked forward to achieving a higher level of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between the two sides, starting from the new point of the “15th Five-Year Plan” period.

Relevant heads from China Telecom and relevant headquarter departments of China Minmetals attended the meeting.
