From August 4 to 5, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, investigated Minmetals International Trust Co., Ltd(Mintrust) and China National Foreign Trade Financial Leasing Co., Ltd, subsidiaries of Minmetals Capital Company Limited. During the visit, he extended his warm regards to employees there, and communicated with them.

Chen Dexin listened to the work reports of the two companies, and had a cordial communication with front-line business personnel. He pointed out that the financial sector, as an important part of China Minmetals' core competencies in business, must adhere to the fundamental principle of serving the real economy, and focus on China Minmetals' main responsibility and main business, thus accelerating transformation and high-quality development.

He emphasized that it is important to thoroughly study the important expositions of President Xi Jinping on financial work, and effectively enhance the sense of responsibility and mission in advancing financial work. It is vital to make high-quality Party building lead and guarantee the high-quality development, standardize the implementation of the "top agenda item" system, and earnestly implement the "five-step closed-loop" working mechanism. We should promote the transformation of primary-level Party organizations from nominal coverage to effective coverage, so that Party branches can become bridges connecting the people, schools for educating Party members, and fortresses for overcoming difficulties. We should thoroughly implement and study the spirit of the Party’s eight-point decision on improving Party and government conduct, and make integrated efforts to ensure high-quality study, rigorous inspection, and effective rectification. We should take solid steps to rectify improper banquets, and establish and improve mechanism of conduct building with lasting effect. The consultation mechanism between the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Party Commission should be strictly implemented, and four-tier accountability system should be continuously deepened, thus further advancing rigorous governance of the Party in all respects. It is essential to enhance core functions and improve core competitiveness with a focus on main responsibilities and main business. We should uphold the combination of heritage and innovation, and further adjust the structure and optimize the layout, so as to create hit products and comparable advantages. Through innovative service model and products, functional value is further leveraged in China Minmetals’ “three-dimensional transformation” and sci-tech innovation, thus better serving the building of full-chain integration of industrial chain in China Minmetals. It is vital to focus our efforts on improving the corporate governance system, see responsibilities are fulfilled by all governance bodies, and build and improve a long-term mechanism, so as to comprehensively improve governance capabilities and level and upgrade risk prevention and control with higher effectiveness. It is important to focus on team building, intensify our efforts to educate employees with the Party’s innovative theories, and enhance ideological and political education. We must care for every employee in China Minmetals, and guide everyone to deeply implement “five core principles”. It is vital to establish and practice a correct political achievement value, and adopt the right approach in selecting and appointing officials which emphasizes practical work, practical outcomes, and responsibilities. It is essential to prioritize the scientific formulation of the plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and integrate top-level design with transparent consultation to build consensus and pool strength, ensuring that enterprises make achievements and employees work with dignity.
