On August 7, Zhu Kebing, President of China Minmetals, met with Richard Holtum, CEO of Trafigura.

Zhu Kebing extended a warm welcome to Richard Holtum and his delegation and briefly introduced previous friendly cooperation between China Minmetals and Trafigura. He said that in recent years, the two sides have given full play to the role of regular communication mechanism to maintain close and friendly high-level exchanges, playing an important role in promoting the sustainable cooperation between the two sides. At present, the both sides steadily advance cooperation in areas such as non-ferrous metals trade, iron ore trading and supply chain services, etc. It is hoped that the teams of the two sides will maintain close cooperation, further expand trade cooperation in copper commodities, lead and zinc, iron ore, new energy battery metals and other varieties, enhance coordination between warehousing logistics and transport capacity, strengthen industrial information research and sharing, and actively explore innovative cooperation in more fields, thus achieving mutual benefits and win-win results.

Richard Holtum highly appreciated Zhu Kebing's cooperation proposals and expressed his gratitude for the long-term support from China Minmetals to Trafigura’s business development. He said that Trafigura is not only a big global trader of energy, metals, and mineral products, but also committed to providing comprehensive services including infrastructure development and warehousing logistics. The two parties have maintained active cooperation in both non-ferrous and ferrous metals trading. Richard Holtum expressed its hope that the both sides would give full play to their respective advantages and better achieve business coordination. Trafigura will strive to provide more high-quality services for China Minmetals.
