On August 13, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Zhu Kebing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, inspected subsidiary projects and conducted a work safety inspection in Xiong’an New Area. They were accompanied by Chen Jianguang and Cheng Yong, Party Group Members and Vice Presidents of the company. 

Chen Dexin, Zhu Kebing and their delegation inspected the MCC Dexian Residence and Xiong’an International Trade Center projects. They were briefed on the project overview, schedule, and business performance, and had a cordial exchange with frontline employees. They encouraged everyone to redouble their efforts to fulfill contracts efficiently and with high quality, build showcase projects, and contribute China Minmetals’ strength to the economic and social development of Xiong’an New Area. 

Chen Dexin emphasized that it is essential to resolutely implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important expositions and instructions on work safety, further strengthen the “people first, life first” philosophy, and coordinate development and safety. He called for accelerating the establishment of a safety management system centered on the work safety responsibility system, giving full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members and the role of primary-level Party organizations as fighting fortresses to hold the bottom line and red line of work safety. Efforts should be made to foster a hands-on work atmosphere where “each level leads the next and sets an example for them to follow”, and principal project leaders must take the lead personally in implementing all work safety measures. It is necessary to conduct thorough inspections for hidden safety hazards, keep a close watch on risks across all areas, and firmly adhere to the principle of “no production without safety, eliminate hazards upon discovery”. Emergency response capabilities must be continuously improved. This includes coordinating with relevant local government departments, strictly implementing the emergency “call and response” mechanism for the flood season, and forming a closed-loop work process of early warning, action, feedback, and verification. The company must actively respond to the requests of local governments, take the initiative to participate in all social emergency rescue operations, and fulfill its responsibilities and commitments as a central state-owned enterprise.
