On August 13, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Zhu Kebing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, held a working meeting with Zhang Guohua, Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee, and Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Xiong’an New Area, to exchange ideas on further deepening cooperation. Lu Liying, Yu Guoyi, and Wang Jiping, leaders of Xiong’an New Area, along with Chen Jianguang and Cheng Yong, leaders of China Minmetals, attended the meeting. 

On behalf of the Party Working Committee and the Management Committee of Xiong’an New Area, Zhang Guohua extended a warm welcome to Chen Dexin, Zhu Kebing and their delegation, and expressed his sincere gratitude to China Minmetals and its subsidiaries for their long-standing care and support for the construction and development of Xiong’an New Area. He noted that since the establishment of Xiong’an New Area, China Minmetals has proactively integrated into its overall development, actively participating in urban development and engineering construction, which fully demonstrates the mission and commitment of a central SOE to serve major national strategies. Currently, Xiong’an New Area is thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speeches, and fully, accurately, and comprehensively implementing the CPC Central Committee’s strategic deployment for the construction of Xiong’an. Its large-scale construction and undertaking of Beijing’s non-capital functions are advancing in parallel with remarkable results. The city’s comprehensive, public service, and commercial service functions are continuously improving. A vibrant situation where the city is attracting people and resources, and developing through concerted efforts is quickly forming. A desirable and marvelous modern city for the people is growing vigorously. He expressed his hope that both sides would further deepen pragmatic cooperation in fields such as municipal facility construction and the development of high-end and high-tech industries, launch more forward-looking innovative pilot and demonstration projects, and work together to promote the implementation of major national strategies to yield fruitful results. 

Chen Dexin expressed his gratitude to Xiong’an New Area for its long-term care and support for China Minmetals and briefly introduced the company’s development. He said that China Minmetals thoroughly implements President Xi Jinping’s important expositions on the reform, development, and Party building of state-owned enterprises, continuously enhancing its core capabilities to improve core competitiveness. The company is deeply engaged in its main business areas, including metals and minerals, metallurgical construction, high-tech industry, trade and logistics, and finance and real estate, and is steadily advancing its high-quality development. Xiong’an New Area is a national project of millennial significance, personally planned, deployed, and promoted by President Xi Jinping, and has now achieved a magnificent transformation from “a piece of land” and “a blueprint” to “a magnificent city”. China Minmetals has actively aligned with the planning blueprint of Xiong’an New Area, participating in the construction of its demonstrative and landmark projects in an all-round way and facilitating the establishment of a number of high-quality enterprises in Xiong’an, with the cooperation between the two sides achieving positive results. He expressed his hope that both sides would further strengthen exchange and coordination, and continue to deepen cooperation in areas such as project construction, industrial upgrading, technological innovation, and green development, so as to make greater contributions to serving the implementation of national strategies with high standards and high quality and advancing the construction of Xiong’an New Area. 

Prior to the meeting, Chen Dexin, Zhu Kebing and their delegation visited the Xiong’an New Area Planning Exhibition Center. 

Relevant personnel from Xiong’an New Area, along with heads of relevant headquarters departments and enterprises of China Minmetals, attended the meeting.
