On the morning of August 23, Zhu Kebing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, inspected the Changsha Institute of Mining Research and held a symposium.

Zhu Kebing listened to reports on the overall work of the Changsha Institute of Mining Research, the application progress for the State Key Laboratory of Safety Technology for Metal Mines, the current status of the Taohualing land plot, and the work of the Party branch of the testing center, which is his designated point of contact for Party building. He focused on understanding the preparatory work for the National Innovation Center and held a discussion with relevant leaders, united front contacts, and young employees. He encouraged everyone to continue to carry forward the work style of “doing solid and practical work,” make continuous efforts in strengthening the talent team and enhancing core competitiveness, and strive for even better results.

Zhu Kebing emphasized the need to take a higher political stance and deepen ideological understanding, giving full play to the strategic empowering role of the National Innovation Center as a national-level policy platform. It is essential to strengthen the Center's function in leading innovation and seize development opportunities by closely aligning with China Minmetals’ “chain leader system,” thereby promoting high-quality development with higher standards, stricter requirements, and a stronger sense of urgency. The reorganization of the State Key Laboratory must be advanced with full effort in light of the current situation and environment to accelerate the formation of a new development pattern of synergy, coordination, and mutual promotion. He called for bearing in mind the “top priorities of the country,” profoundly grasping the vast development opportunities during the 15th Five-Year Plan period of China Minmetals, and using breakthroughs in thinking to spearhead breakthroughs in action. It is necessary to proactively break away from traditional development models and mindsets, anchor on the future direction of new quality productive forces, and systematically plan technological innovation work guided by demand. The institute must focus on its core responsibilities and businesses, with technological innovation as the core driving force. In key areas such as mining equipment and mine safety, it must accelerate the deep integration of new technologies with industrial scenarios, provide strong technical support for various application scenarios within China Minmetals with forward-looking and breakthrough technological achievements, and effectively transform technological advantages into industrial and developmental advantages. At the same time, it should actively participate in and lead the formulation of industry standards, striving to build a leading industry brand. High-quality Party building should empower high-quality development. The “Party Flag Fluttering, Party Emblem Shining” campaign should be deepened, and the principle of letting Party building guide the building of the Youth League should be upheld to help young employees grow and succeed.
