On August 23, Zhu Kebing, President and Deputy Party Group Secretary of China Minmetals, held talks with Cao Zhiqiang, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, and conducted in-depth discussions on comprehensively deepening strategic cooperation.

Zhu Kebing thanked the CPC provincial committee and the provincial government of Hunan for their long-term strong support to China Minmetals. He said that subsidiaries of China Minmetals in Hunan have always upheld the pioneering spirit and innovation based on actual situation of Hunan, and deeply participated in the development of Hunan leveraging their role as leading central SOEs. In particular, since the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement in February this year, we have achieved fruitful results in the building of regional headquarters, the establishment of national innovation center, and the development of mineral resources, and other areas. It is hoped that the both sides will develop an innovation chain centering on the industrial chain, pay close attention to the application of technological achievements and industrial incubation, make firm efforts to build a  technological industry, accelerate the development of new quality productive forces, and strive to achieve win-win cooperation in more fields and at a deeper level.

Cao Zhiqiang thanked China Minmetals for its positive contributions to Hunan for a long time. He said that Hunan’s economic growth showed a stable growth trend in the first half of the year. At present, the whole province anchors a better blueprint of “Three Highlands and Four New Missions”, which serves as the main focus and action path for driving high-quality development, and strives to write a magnificent Hunan chapter in the national endeavor to build a modern socialist country in all respects. Hunan will continue to improve the business environment and strengthen service guarantee, thus creating first-class conditions for the development of China Minmetals in Hunan.

After the talk, Zhu Kebing and Cao Zhiqiang investigated Minmetals New Energy Materials and Changsha Minmetals Plaza project together.

At Minmetals New Energy Materials, Zhu Kebing and Cao Zhiqiang inspected the Minmetals New Energy Materials Research Institute, the corporate culture exhibition hall and the ternary cathode material workshop of the high-tech base to take a closer look at the development history, technical route, product range, and technical process of Minmetals New Energy Materials, and encouraged the company to actively leverage the role and function of China Minmetals as the chain leader in new new energy materials industry chain, fully integrate into the development of Hunan new energy materials industry cluster, integrate superior resources of all parties, and continuously deepen the cooperation between China Minmetals and Hunan Province in the field of new energy and new materials, so as to achieve win-win results between the central and local governments.

At the Changsha Minmetals Plaza project, Zhu Kebing and Cao Zhiqiang learned about the project's geographical advantages, design concepts, business types, construction progress, investment attraction and occupancy progress, etc. It is emphasized that the project must play a vital role in elevating the city's brand image and promoting regional economic development. Its construction and operation must be advanced with high standards and quality to better establish a benchmark for regional commerce.
