On September 17, a working meeting was held in Nanning between Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Jiang Liansheng, Secretary of the CPC Wuzhou Municipal Committee. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on further strengthening central-local cooperation.
Chen Dexin expressed his gratitude to the CPC Wuzhou Municipal Committee and the Wuzhou Municipal People’s Government for the significant support they have long provided to China Minmetals. He noted that China Minmetals, upholding the aspiration and shouldering the responsibility of “serving and reinvigorating the country through the metals and minerals industry,” has continuously cultivated its main business areas. As a result, the company has forged a development advantage across the full industry chain, which integrates resource exploration, design and construction, development and operation, smelting and processing, trade and logistics, R&D, and financial capital, thereby consistently contributing to the supply and security of the nation's metal and mineral resources. Recognizing that Wuzhou possesses unique geographical, resource, and industrial advantages, he pointed out that the foundation for cooperation between China Minmetals and Wuzhou is solid and the potential for collaboration is vast. He expressed his hope that both sides would continue to expand the breadth and depth of their cooperation in fields such as metal mining, urban renewal, industrial upgrading, transportation hub construction, and talent exchange and training. Through these efforts, they can jointly empower the high-quality development of both the enterprise and the regional economy, and work together to create a new model of central-local cooperation.
Jiang Liansheng thanked China Minmetals for its long-standing and positive contributions to the economic and social development of Wuzhou. He said that Wuzhou is fully implementing Guangxi’s strategic tasks for building “one zone, two hubs, one park, and one corridor” and is deeply advancing its industrial revitalization action plan. Building on the excellent existing cooperation, he expressed his hope that both sides would leverage their respective advantages to deepen collaboration, particularly in areas such as improving comprehensive urban functions, optimizing the transportation network layout, and advancing the construction of major projects. Furthermore, Jiang Liansheng affirmed that Wuzhou will continue to provide high-quality services and support for enterprises to promote the development of their cooperation to a higher level.
