On September 24, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Group Secretary, Director, and President of China Minmetals, held a working meeting in Shenyang with Wang Zhongkun, Secretary of the CPC Anshan Municipal Committee. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on deepening cooperation between the central state-owned enterprise (SOE) and the local government, with a focus on driving coordinated development through mineral resource development.

Zhu Kebing expressed his gratitude to the CPC Anshan Municipal Committee and the Anshan Municipal Government for their long-standing and strong support for China Minmetals. He provided a brief overview of the company’s strategic layout, reform, and development progress. He stated that, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, China Minmetals remains steadfast in its original mission of “Contributing to human progress through developing the mining industry” and is accelerating its development into a world-class, globally competitive metals and minerals enterprise group. Anshan City, he noted, possesses unique geographical, resource-based, and industrial advantages. Given the solid foundation and deep friendship that characterize the cooperation between China Minmetals and Anshan, it is hoped that both parties will closely align with the direction of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. Centered on mining development, they should explore multi-modal, multi-level, and multi-domain cooperation pathways, thereby jointly promoting high-quality development and cultivating new industrial growth poles for the comprehensive revitalization of old industrial bases such as Northeast China.

Wang Zhongkun thanked China Minmetals for its contributions to Anshan’s economic construction and urban development over the years. He stated that Anshan is resolutely implementing the important speeches and instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Liaoning, accelerating high-quality development, and actively fostering new drivers for the city’s growth. It is hoped that China Minmetals will further leverage its full-industry-chain advantages in the metals and minerals sector to help Anshan effectively transform its resource advantages into industrial and developmental strengths. Anshan will continue to optimize its business environment and provide comprehensive and efficient service support for enterprises to facilitate the early production and prompt results of cooperative projects.

From September 24 to 25, Zhu Kebing was also invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 6th China Liaoning International Fair for Investment and Trade and a symposium themed “Revitalization in the New Era, Win-Win on a New Track,” which focused on deepening cooperation between Liaoning Province and central state-owned enterprises.
