On September 29, China Minmetals held a flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Group Secretary, Director, and President, and other Party Group members attended the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Party Group Secretary and Director of China Minmetals.

In his speech, Chen Dexin said that since the founding of the People's Republic of China 76 years ago, the Communist Party of China has united and led Chinese people of all ethnic groups in working tirelessly to create miracles of rapid economic development and long-term social stability. The great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has entered an irreversible historical process. It is necessary to transform the passion for loving the Party, and the country into the practical actions of “Contributing to human progress through developing the mining industry”, pooling tremendous strength for the building of a world-class enterprise at a faster pace.

Chen Dexin pointed out that this year marked the 75th anniversary of China Minmetals. Throughout these 75 years, China Minmetals has upheld and pursued its original mission of "Contributing to human progress through developing the mining industry", and has built a whole-industry-chain advantage that integrates resource exploration, design and construction, development and operation, smelting and processing, trade and logistics, scientific and technological industry, and financial capital. In recent years, China Minmetals has done what it can based on the needs of the country. The Company has upheld a three-pronged strategy featuring merger and acquisition, deep mineral exploration, and a new round of breakthroughs in mineral breakthrough, and promoted scientific and technological innovation with a focus on “five core principles”. The “three-ization” (digital, intelligent, and green) transformation has been applied to rejuvenate the industry, and the “chain leader and chain master system” has been implemented to renovate the mechanism. Chen Dexin emphasized that standing at a new historical starting point, it is necessary to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, more deeply comprehend the decisive significance of “Two Establishments”, and resolutely uphold General Secretary Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and resolutely uphold the Party Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership, so as to ensure the implementation of the CPC Central Committee's decisions and deployments. It is important to ground our efforts in the historical stage of “three overlapping challenges,” keep enhancing core functions and raise core competitiveness, and fully leverage SOE's triple role of technological innovation, industrial control, and security support , thus ensuring a high-quality start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

Participants also included more than 300 people from the discipline inspection and supervision team stationed in China Minmetals, relevant headquarters departments and directly-managed enterprises of China Minmetals.
