China Minmetals Corporation 2025-10-29
On October 15, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Group Secretary, Director and President of China Minmetals, met with a delegation led by Fang Zheng, Secretary of the CPC Lu'an Municipal Committee. The two parties engaged in an in-depth exchange on further strengthening the cooperation between central state-owned enterprises and local governments.
Zhu Kebing expressed his gratitude to the CPC Lu'an Municipal Committee and the Lu'an Municipal People's Government for their long-standing and substantial support for China Minmetals and provided a brief overview of the company's history and current profile. He stated that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of China Minmetals. Over the past 75 years, China Minmetals has gradually evolved from its early beginnings as a foreign trade enterprise into a powerhouse with global competitiveness in the metals and minerals industry, with its scope of business covering metals & minerals, metallurgical construction, high-tech industry, trade & logistics, and finance & real estate. This has enabled the company to form a full-industry-chain advantage, integrating resource exploration, design & construction, development & operation, smelting & processing, trade & logistics, R&D, and financial capital, thereby continuously contributing to ensuring the supply and security of the nation's metal and mineral resources. China Minmetals and Lu'an share a solid foundation for cooperation and a profound friendship. Zhu expressed his hope that both sides would further strengthen communication and coordination, develop a comprehensive, in-depth strategy to advance cooperation throughout the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and continue to enhance and deepen their collaboration in areas such as mineral resource development and green mine construction. The goal is to yield more fruitful results from their cooperation at an early date and achieve mutual benefits and win-win development of a higher quality and to a greater extent.
Fang Zheng expressed his gratitude for China Minmetals' long-standing positive contributions to the economic and social development of Lu'an and provided a brief overview of the city's basic profile. He said that Lu'an possesses distinct locational advantages, prominent resource strengths, a solid industrial foundation, and broad development prospects. He expressed his hope that, building on their existing good cooperation, both sides would further strengthen communication and exchange with a focus on the needs of their respective strategic development. It was hoped that they would, on the basis of full leverage of their respective advantages, accelerate efforts to expand the scope, deepen the level, and enhance the quality and effectiveness of their collaboration. Lu'an, he affirmed, will provide high-quality services and create a favorable environment for the development of China Minmetals' local enterprises.
