On November 27, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Group Secretary, Director and President of China Minmetals, held working talks with Cao Zhiqiang, Vice-Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in Nanning, Guangxi. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on further deepening the cooperation between central enterprises and local governments and promoting the high-quality development of the non-ferrous metal and critical metal industry in Guangxi.

Zhu Kebing expressed gratitude to Guangxi for its care and support for China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals thoroughly studies and implements Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, takes guaranteeing the supply and security of national metal mineral resources as its responsibility, adheres to the aspiration of contributing to human progress through developing the mining industry. After years of transformation and development, it has comprehensively enhanced the security guarantee capability of strategic mineral resources in all links of "exploration, production, supply, storage and marketing", and formed a complete industrial chain development advantage integrating resource exploration, design and construction, development and operation, smelting and processing, trade and logistics, scientific and technological research and development, and financial capital. China Minmetals attaches great importance to the strategic cooperation with Guangxi. The development ideas of the two sides in related industries during the 15th Five-Year Plan period are highly compatible, and there is broad cooperation space in resource exploration and development, scientific and technological innovation, smelting and processing, industrial upgrading, logistics and storage. China Minmetals will actively contribute to the high-quality development of the non-ferrous metal and critical metal industry in Guangxi and make greater contributions to the economic and social development of Guangxi.

As a major region of non-ferrous metals in China, Guangxi is rich in mineral resources and has obvious location advantages. It is making every effort to promote the high-quality development of the non-ferrous metal industry, especially the critical metal industry, accelerating the construction of the Nandan Key Metals High-Quality Development Comprehensive Pilot Zone, and building a national-level industrial cluster.
