On December 10, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Group Secretary, Director and President of China Minmetals, held working talks with Wu Chungeng, vice-governor of Liaoning Province, in Shenyang. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on further deepening the cooperation between central enterprises and local governments.

Zhu Kebing expressed gratitude to Liaoning Province for its care and support for China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals has thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, takes guaranteeing the supply and security of national metal mineral resources as its responsibility, adheres to the aspiration of contributing to human progress through developing the mining industry, and has formed the development advantages of the entire industrial chain integrating resource exploration, design and construction, development and operation, smelting and processing, trade and logistics, scientific and technological research and development, and financial capital. China Minmetals attaches great importance to its strategic cooperation with Liaoning Province. Having maintained close collaboration and worked in synergy with Liaoning Province in such key areas as mineral resources and engineering construction, the company has laid a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation. The development concepts of the relevant industries of both parties during the 15th Five-Year Plan period are highly aligned. It is hoped that the two sides will further explore more cooperation entry points and new avenues for win-win outcomes in iron ore project exploration and development, technological R&D and other aspects, so as to support Liaoning in accelerating the construction of a national-level iron ore industrial base, effectively translating its resource advantages into development and economic advantages, and making sustained contributions to the high-quality economic and social development of Liaoning Province.

Wu Chungeng thanked China Minmetals for its long-standing positive contributions to the economic and social development of Liaoning Province. He said that as an important industrial base of the country, Liaoning is endowed with a complete range of mineral resources, supported by improved infrastructure and a complete industrial system. At present, the province is fully dedicated to constructing three major bases of iron ore, magnesite and gold, and advancing the full industrial chain layout leveraging its mineral resource advantages. Liaoning will comprehensively optimize the business environment, accelerate the reform of mineral rights approval procedures, and actively provide high-quality services for enterprises to develop in Liaoning. It is hoped that China Minmetals will fully leverage its strengths in its full industrial chain integration of metal and mineral resources, join hands with Liaoning as strong strategic partners in mineral resources development, full industrial chain layout planning, joint prospecting and other key areas, so as to jointly build a national-level iron ore industrial base and write a new chapter of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.
