On December 11, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Group Secretary, Director and President of China Minmetals, met with the visiting guest, Wang Hua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xuhui District Committee and head of Xuhui District, Shanghai. The two sides exchanged views on further deepening cooperation.

Zhu Kebing expressed gratitude to Xuhui District for its care and support for China Minmetals. He said that China Minmetals takes guaranteeing the supply and security of national metal mineral resources as its responsibility, adheres to the aspiration of contributing to human progress through developing the mining industry. After years of transformation and development, it has formed a layout of six major business segments and consolidated the development advantages of the complete industrial chain integrating resource exploration, design and construction, development and operation, smelting and processing, trade and logistics, scientific and technological research and development, and financial capital. China Minmetals attaches great importance to its strategic cooperation with Shanghai, and hopes to further expand cooperation space and innovate cooperation ideas with Xuhui District in key areas including trade and logistics, and industrial chain synergy among upstream and downstream manufacturing enterprises, in a bid to jointly deliver more remarkable achievements of central-local cooperation.

Wang Hua thanked China Minmetals for its long-term positive contributions to the economic and social development of Xuhui District. He pointed out that at present, Xuhui District is vigorously pushing forward a series of urban renewal projects, deepening the construction of the national mass entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration base and a core carrier area for the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center, and striving to build a strong growth pole for high-quality development. It is hoped that on the basis of the previous good cooperation, the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages, strengthen cooperation and connection in key areas such as trade and logistics, scientific research and innovation, artificial intelligence and financial services, so as to achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development.
