On December 18, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, held working talks with the visiting Teresa Cheng Yeuk-wah, secretary-general of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed), and the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on strengthening future cooperation.

Chen Dexin welcomed Teresa Cheng Yeuk-wah and her delegation, and briefed them on the historical evolution of China Minmetals and the development of its key overseas businesses. He stated that after 75 years of transformation and development, China Minmetals has continuously intensified its efforts in "going global", with its operations spanning over 60 countries and regions worldwide. It has continuously deepened its presence in overseas business areas such as non-ferrous metal mining, metallurgical construction, trade and logistics, market development, and investment and financing, and is accelerating the building of an international operation pattern. He expressed the hope that the two sides would strengthen communication and exchanges, carry out practical cooperation in fields such as legal research, legal services, and the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents, and make positive contributions to improving global governance, safeguarding the stability of the international order, and supporting the steady and far-reaching development of Chinese enterprises going global .

Teresa Cheng Yeuk-wah expressed high recognition of Chen Dexin's cooperation proposals and briefed him on the functional positioning and development plan of IOMed. She stated that IOMed stands ready to provide high-quality services for China Minmetals' foreign-related legal development and the cultivation of legal talents, so as to support the high-quality development of China Minmetals. She expressed the hope that the two sides would further strengthen the exchange of foreign-related legal experience and jointly promote the construction of an international mediation ecosystem.
