On January 5, China Minmetals and Dongcheng District of Beijing held a working meeting. Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals; Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director, and General Manager; Sun Xinjun, Secretary of the Dongcheng District Committee of Beijing; and Chen Xiansen, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee and District Mayor, attended the meeting. Both sides exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation.

Chen Dexin and Zhu Kebing welcomed the visit of Sun Xinjun and Chen Xiansen, expressing gratitude to the Dongcheng District Committee and Government for their long-term support. Chen Dexin stated that China Minmetals has always remained committed to the ambition of serving the country through mining and the responsibility of strengthening the nation through mining. The Company continues to enhance its core function of "guaranteeing the supply and security of national metal and mineral resources" and persistently improves its core competitiveness in "integrated high-level development across the entire metal mining industry chain." China Minmetals is anchored to the functional positioning of being the "National Team for Resource Guarantee and the Main Force for 'Two-New' Services," and it has formed a layout of six major business sectors: metal mining, metallurgical construction, technology industry, trade and logistics, financial capital, and real estate development. In recent years, China Minmetals and its affiliated enterprises have resolutely shouldered the responsibilities of a central SOE and deeply integrated into the local development overall situation of Dongcheng District. He expressed hope that both sides will further deepen cooperation, leverage their respective advantages in serving national strategies, and achieve mutual benefits at a higher level. China Minmetals will take the initiative and act proactively to contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of Dongcheng District.

Sun Xinjun and Chen Xiansen thanked China Minmetals for its contributions and introduced the social and economic development status of Dongcheng District. Sun Xinjun stated that Dongcheng District is the core area for national functions with deep cultural heritage. He hoped both sides would continue to deepen practical cooperation and accelerate urban-industrial integration. Dongcheng District will provide higher-quality government services and a superior business environment for China Minmetals and its affiliated enterprises.

Prior to the talks, the two sides jointly visited the China Minmetals Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievement Exhibition.

Relevant personnel from Dongcheng District, along with heads of relevant departments from China Minmetals headquarters and directly managed enterprises, participated in the talks.
