As the Spring Festival approaches, Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited the headquarters offices at China Minmetals Plaza, MCC Tower, and the Erligou Office Area. He extended festive greetings and warm regards to the employees and management of the Group’s headquarters, China MCC Group’s headquarters, as well as MCC Eco-Environmental Protection, China Minmetals Nonferrous, China Minmetals Development, and the Finance Company. He also conducted pre-Spring Festival duty and readiness inspections and reviewed petition handling work. Additionally, he led a team to revisit the original office site of China Minmetals, where they revisited the company’s founding mission as they embarked on a new journey. Chen Jianguang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice General Manager of China Minmetals, as well as Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China MCC, accompanied him during the visit.

Wherever he went, Chen Dexin engaged in cordial conversations with employees and management, showing genuine concern for their work and personal well-being. He expressed gratitude for their hard work and dedication over the past year—remaining steadfast in their posts, taking on responsibilities through concrete actions, working with full drive, and persevering under pressure to safeguard the supply and security of national metal mineral resources and advance the integrated, high-quality development of the entire industrial chain. He encouraged everyone to redouble their efforts in this first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, striving for new achievements and making new contributions.

Chen Dexin stressed that in the new year, efforts must be made to continuously study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important directives on the work of central enterprises, and to earnestly carry out the guidelines from China Minmetals’ 2026 annual work conference. He called for an unwavering commitment to serving the nation through mining, and for resolutely advancing the consolidation of core businesses, the strategic positioning of industries, and the integration of resources, so as to effectively fulfill the role of the “national team for resource security and the main force in supporting key ‘Two New’ initiatives”. He stressed the need to further strengthen the development of headquarters functions, fully leverage the role of headquarters departments in “service, guidance, supervision, and evaluation”, and continue to optimize the management and control system while enhancing performance efficiency. Greater efforts should be made to promote the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, empowering traditional industries to accelerate transformation toward intelligent, green, and integrated development through technological progress. It is essential to firmly establish the principle that “the market is our lifeline”, resolutely “go global” in a compliant and well-regulated manner, and further strengthen the prevention and control of overseas operational risks through transformative thinking and innovative actions. The management and control model centered on “financial control and capital management” must be implemented to reinforce financial risk prevention lines, ensure safe and sound capital operations, and serve as a strategic advisor, risk guardian, and value steward for high-quality corporate development. Party building shall be comprehensively strengthened, with solid efforts made to carry out the “Grassroots Party Building Quality Improvement Initiative”, advancing grassroots Party organizations from “tangible coverage” to “effective coverage”. Full and rigorous Party governance must be advanced with greater resolve, broader scope, and more rigorous standards to consolidate and expand a healthy, positive, and harmonious political environment characterized by integrity and stability.

Chen Dexin stressed the importance of carrying out duty and readiness work effectively during the Spring Festival holiday, with strict enforcement of the leadership shift supervision system and 24-hour duty for critical posts to ensure smooth communication and prompt response. He urged that solid progress be made on the initiative for “proactive measures to ensure safety and stability”, strict adherence to the requirements for handling public complaints in accordance with the law, and strengthened source governance. He emphasized resolving conflicts and disputes with sincerity and dedication to maintain the Group’s harmonious and stable development landscape.

During his visit to No. 36 Baochuan Hutong, the original Beijing office site of China Minmetals, Chen Dexin reflected that it was from this narrow courtyard 76 years ago that the company embarked on its historic mission of building a world-class mining enterprise to serve the nation. He emphasized that the company’s current achievements are a standing testament to the arduous efforts of its founders and the sustained dedication of generations of China Minmetals employees. He urged everyone to stay true to the company’s founding mission, to strive tirelessly for high-quality development, to accelerate the creation of a world-class enterprise, and to make new and significant contributions to the grand goal of building a strong nation and realizing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
