With the Spring Festival approaching, Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, visited and extended greetings to staff at Minmetals Square. He met with personnel from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at China Minmetals, headquarters departments, and subsidiaries including China Minmetals Capital, China Minmetals Real Estate, China Minmetals Exploration, China Minmetals Assets, and China Minmetals Venture Capital. He also greeted the operations and maintenance support staff from China Minmetals Assets and China Minmetals Property, offering sincere New Year wishes and checking pre-holiday duty rosters. Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of China Minmetals, accompanied the visit.
During cordial exchanges with the staff, Chen inquired about their work and well-being, expressing gratitude for their enterprising spirit and down-to-earth efforts in contributing to the high-quality development of China Minmetals over the past year. He encouraged everyone to maintain consistency in their efforts and stick to the long-term vision to achieve even greater results as the 15th Five-Year Plan period begins.
Chen underscored that in the new year, the Group must fully, accurately, and comprehensively implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s key instructions on the work of central SOEs. He urged accelerated efforts to focus on core businesses, align industrial positioning, and consolidate resources, while remaining committed to the mission of "serving the country through mining" and the responsibility of "strengthening the nation through mining."
He called for the continuous development of a strong headquarters characterized by being "politically reliable, professionally proficient, collaborative, efficient, and clean." He emphasized enhancing its core functions—service, guidance, supervision, and evaluation—to build a scientific management system.
Anchored in the direction of intelligent, green, and integrated development, the Group will accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system and leverage digital and intelligent tools to empower industrial optimization and upgrading.
Using the new round of deepening SOE reform as a catalyst, China Minmetals will modernize its governance system and capacity. The Group will vigorously implement "penetrating" supervision to enhance professional, systematic, law-based, and efficient regulatory standards.
Chen stressed the importance of a correct perspective on performance, noting that achievements should be measured by the efficacy of serving national strategies, the results of high-quality development, and the recognition of the workforce.
The Group will deepen full and rigorous Party self-governance through the "Three Mores" principles, consolidating a sound political environment characterized by integrity, positivity, and stability.
Chen also inspected the monitoring room and the administrative service center at Minmetals Square, checking equipment operations, security measures, and holiday duty schedules. He thanked the maintenance and support staff of China Minmetals Assets and China Minmetals Property for their hard work and distributed holiday care packages.
Heads of relevant departments from the China Minmetals headquarters participated in the activities.
