On March 20, Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, held talks with Zhou Shaobing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited. The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen their cooperation. Xu Jiqing, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager at China Minmetals, attended the talks.

Chen Dexin thanked the Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited for its long-standing support and assistance to China Minmetals, and congratulated the company on its recent major achievements in overseas mergers and acquisitions. He also reflected on the history and progress of the friendly cooperation between the two companies. He noted that China Minmetals attaches great importance to Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited, a strategic partner. The two companies have highly aligned development strategies and a shared development philosophy. Through their long-standing cooperation in various fields, they have developed a strong bond based on mutual trust and support, achieving mutually beneficial development. Since the meeting in Nanchang last September, the cooperative consensus between the two sides has continued to strengthen, their strategic collaboration has accelerated and upgraded comprehensively, and positive progress has been made across a number of cooperation projects. Looking ahead, he hoped that both sides will enhance their regular communication mechanisms further, leverage their respective strengths, and consolidate the foundation for cooperation in areas such as mineral resource development and metal trading. At the same time, they will actively explore models for all-round collaboration. By driving key cooperation projects to achieve new breakthroughs in terms of quality and efficiency, both sides will work together to ensure the supply and security of national metal mineral resources.

He noted that, since the two sides met last year, cooperation in all areas has accelerated significantly, yielding positive results. He hoped that, based on existing cooperation, both sides will further strengthen communication and coordination, as well as broadening and deepening their collaboration. Prior to the talks, the two sides jointly visited the Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievement Exhibition of China Minmetals.

Relevant personnel from Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited, along with heads of relevant departments from China Minmetals headquarters and directly managed enterprises, participated in the talks.
