Chen Dexin Holds Working Meeting with Gou Husheng, Chairman of China International Engineering Consulting Corporation

On April 3, Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, held a working meeting with Gou Husheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of China International Engineering Consulting Corporation. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on further strengthening cooperation. Zhao Xufeng, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, and Duan Wenwu, Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Chief Financial Officer of China Minmetals, were also present.

Chen Dexin expressed appreciation for the longstanding support provided by the consulting company. He noted that, after 76 years of transformation and development, China Minmetals has grown into a modern metals and mining group with five defining characteristics: resource-based operations, diversified core businesses, a multi-structured portfolio, multinational operations, and large-scale integrated capabilities.Over the years, the two sides have established a close partnership and developed effective collaboration mechanisms in areas such as investment project evaluation, policy research, and strategic consulting. Looking ahead, Chen expressed the hope that both sides will further strengthen cooperation in high-end think tank collaboration, jointly carry out systematic research on key topics such as resource security and green, low-carbon transformation, establish information-sharing mechanisms, and expand cooperation in major project evaluation, thereby enhancing the scientific basis of investment decisions and the standardization of management, and contributing to national resource security.

Gou Husheng expressed appreciation for China Minmetals’ longstanding trust and support and briefly introduced the company’s core business areas and development directions. He noted that China Minmetals is a highly valued and trusted partner, with a strong foundation and fruitful outcomes of cooperation.He expressed the hope that both sides will establish closer coordination mechanisms and maintain regular communication. The consulting company will leverage its strengths as a high-end think tank to provide advisory and evaluation services for major projects across multiple dimensions, including national strategy, industrial layout, technical feasibility, economic viability, and risk management, thereby supporting the realization of shared value and coordinated development, and elevating bilateral cooperation to a new level.

Prior to the meeting, both sides visited the China Minmetals Mining and Metallurgical Technology Achievements Exhibition and viewed a corporate presentation. During the visit, they exchanged views on promoting the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation.

Representatives from the consulting company and relevant departments of China Minmetals headquarters also attended the meeting.
