Chen Dexin Holds Working Meeting with Cheng Liwei, CPC Secretary and President of the China Mining Association

On April 8, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, held a working meeting with Cheng Liwei, CPC Secretary and President of the China Mining Association (CMA), to engage in in-depth exchanges on further strengthening cooperation. The meeting was attended by Che Changbo, Member of the CPC Committee and Secretary-General of the CMA, and Wang Xingquan, Member of the Party Group and Vice General Manager of China Minmetals.

Chen Dexin welcomed Cheng Liwei and his delegation, expressing his gratitude to the CMA for its long-standing assistance and support, and provided an update on the company’s recent development. He stated that China Minmetals has always taken the responsibility of ensuring the supply and security of national metallic mineral resources as its mission. The company remains committed to the ambition of serving the country through mining and the responsibility of building a strong mining nation, focusing on the primary strategy of mineral resources and fully promoting the "refinement of core business, repositioning of industries, and consolidation of resources." Positive progress and remarkable results have been achieved in enhancing core functions, strengthening technological empowerment, building a modern industrial system, developing talent teams, and advancing Party-building efforts. As a Vice President unit, China Minmetals actively participates in the various initiatives of the CMA and has established and maintained a close and productive cooperative relationship with the association. Looking ahead, China Minmetals will continue to fully support the CMA’s work in all aspects. He expressed hope that both sides would further enhance communication and alignment, deepen exchange and cooperation, and conduct in-depth research into common issues in industry development to jointly promote international exchange and cooperation in China’s mining industry, achieving a higher level and better quality of mutually beneficial development.

Cheng Liwei thanked China Minmetals for its strong support and active cooperation with the CMA’s work, speaking highly of the development achievements China Minmetals has attained in recent years. He stated that the CMA attaches great importance to communication with member enterprises represented by China Minmetals. Through long-term friendly cooperation, the two sides have advanced together with close synergy, yielding significant results. In the face of new situations and tasks, the CMA will deeply practice its core value of serving members wholeheartedly and actively provide suggestions and advice for the formulation and introduction of policies, regulations, and industry standards. The CMA will also give full play to the China International Mining Conference as a bridge and link to promote exchange and cooperation among member units, contributing to the stable, healthy, collaborative, and win-win development of the global mining industry.
