China Minmetals Corporation 2026-04-13

On the morning of April 13, Chen Dexin, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals Corporation, met with visiting Wu Jupei, Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Committee of CPC. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation between central enterprises and local governments.

Chen Dexin welcomed the delegation led by Wu Jupei and expressed gratitude to Chenzhou City for its longstanding, strong support for the local enterprises of China Minmetals. He stated that China Minmetals has fully embraced the principles set out in the significant speeches and directives issued by General Secretary Xi Jinping. The company has consistently regarded ensuring the supply and security of the nation’s metal and mineral resources as its mission. It is a modern metal and mineral enterprise group characterised by five distinct features: a focus on mineral resources; a diversified core business portfolio; a multi-sectoral structure; transnational operations; and a large-scale, consolidated structure. China Minmetals and Chenzhou City have a long-standing history of successful collaboration, achieving remarkable results in mineral resource development, metal smelting and processing, technological innovation and engineering construction. Looking ahead, the two sides intend to further strengthen their collaboration in mineral exploration, smart mine construction and the utilisation of tailings resources, thereby setting a benchmark for central-local cooperation and jointly supporting the implementation of national strategies.

Wu Jupei expressed gratitude to China Minmetals for its long‑standing and robust support for the economic and social development of Chenzhou City. He noted that, thanks to its superior resource endowments, convenient transport links and strong concentration of innovation platforms, Chenzhou City has established a solid foundation for central-local cooperation. China Minmetals has a strong business presence in Chenzhou and has made significant contributions to the city. The city will continue to strengthen its service assurance, address the enterprise's needs precisely, and provide coordination and support in areas such as land use, energy supply, resource integration, and project development. He expressed hope that the two sides will further strengthen long-term planning, improve the quality and efficiency of their cooperation, set up a regular progress review mechanism, and create a favourable business environment for the development of China Minmetals in Chenzhou.

Tang Liyong and Han Guang, Vice Mayors of Chenzhou City, attended the meeting, along with other relevant officials, as well as heads of relevant headquarters departments and directly‑managed enterprises of China Minmetals.
