China Minmetals Corporation 2026-05-01
On May 1, Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Board Director, and General Manager of China Minmetals, visited the company's central command center and used a video link to check on work safety and emergency duty preparedness for the May Day holiday. He also conveyed warm greetings and holiday wishes to all staff and management who spent the holiday working on production and construction sites both in China and overseas.
Zhu Kebing held video calls with Minmetals Mining, Luzhong Mining, China Salt Lake, Zhuzhou Smelter Group, China MCC17, Shanghai Baoye, and other companies. He carefully reviewed each unit’s staffing and operations during the holiday, and then set out requirements for key areas such as mine construction and underground operations, logistics support for high-altitude work, smelting production, inventory and sales management, and construction safety.
Zhu Kebing emphasized that all units shall thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses and directives on work safety, faithfully act on the arrangements made at China Minmetals’ first-quarter operational performance benchmarking and analysis meeting and the work safety coordination meeting. They need to strike a balance between development and safety, further entrench the "people and lives first" principle, and implement all safety measures with an unrelenting sense of responsibility. All units shall keep a close eye on priority areas including mining, smelting, and construction, strictly enforce special operation approval procedures over the holiday, and dynamically fine‑tune production pacing and inventory arrangements in response to market conditions. All units shall keep a close watch on weather changes, prepare in advance for construction safety in the rainy season, and fully comply with all safety requirements. All units shall strictly enforce executive duty rotations and dedicated on‑call arrangements, resolutely uphold non‑negotiable safety thresholds, and ensure safe, stable, and smooth production throughout the holiday.
Wang Xingquan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals, along with relevant colleagues, participated in the inspection and video calls.
